What this covers
These terms apply to The Story Toolkit and its tools—Story Mining, Story Gym, Bring It to Life, and, as they open, Evidence Map and Story Coach. By using the site or any of the tools, you agree to what is written here.
What the tools are for
The tools are provided for personal and professional reflection. They are aids for thinking, practicing, and preparing—not professional, legal, medical, financial, or career advice. Decisions you make after using them are your own.
The free public beta
The Toolkit is free to use through December 31, 2026. During the beta, tools may change, move, pause, or be removed while the work develops, and access is not guaranteed to be uninterrupted. In 2027 the Toolkit is expected to become a paid membership. Nothing here obligates you to join it, and nothing you do during the beta creates a paid account.
Your work and your privacy
Your own writing remains yours. Work is generally saved locally in your browser, so you are responsible for exporting and keeping copies of anything you want to preserve. Clearing browser data may remove it permanently. Each tool site has its own privacy notice; see the privacy note for details.
Email updates
Sharing your email is entirely optional. If you do, it is used only to send occasional updates about new tools, beta developments, and the 2027 membership. It is never sold or shared, and it is kept separate from anything you write in the tools. You can ask to be removed at any time by writing to hadiya@duetslearning.com.
Fair use of the tools
Please use the Toolkit for its intended purpose. Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, scrape, or gain unauthorized access to the site, and do not resell or republish the tools or their content as your own.
Ownership
The content, names, structure, and design of The Story Toolkit remain the property of Duets Learning and its creator, Hadiya Nuriddin. You are welcome to use the tools in your own work and teaching; you may not copy or redistribute the tools themselves without permission.
No warranty, limited liability
The tools are provided as-is and as-available, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Duets Learning is not liable for any loss, including lost work, arising from use of the site or the tools.

These terms may be updated as the tools change; the date above shows the most recent revision. Questions are welcome at hadiya@duetslearning.com.
